Hot date

Hah!  I got you with the title of the post!

I had a very hot date with Reid online.  Yeah yeah.  Now that he is single.  Look what he is doing to flirt with me.  Brace yourself...

Reid in his boxers.  Super shameless. He doesn't even care that I'm posting this. 

Today was almost like a day in The Office.  First was the lunch allowance drama.  Like I said last time, we get 7RMB from headquarters for lunch.  Right now they reimburse the employees in cash, regardless of whether or not you eat lunch or bring your own.  But now HQ wants to prepay the lunch box guy directly so that the employees don't get the 7RMB.  This got our receptionist extremely furious.  She talked to HQ on the phone for at least an hour about this issue, and made the managers here sign some sort of form (petition?)

Then the real estate agent for my apartment came to our office to sign the lease.  Since the office was paying for it, it was such a hassle.  We must have been in the conference room for at least 2 hours discussing the conditions (even though it was already all typed out).  They had told the landlord that they would pay for half a year in cash.  But then they realized today that you can only take out so much from the ATM machine.  Totally unprepared.  So in the end they only gave the landlord 2 months rent, and wrote some other complicated contract notes that took way too long to finish.

Then comes the real estate agent fee.  This is typically paid by the landlord, but for some reason, since our rent was 'so cheap', that our office had to pay for the one month rent as the agent fee.  So then there was a lot more argument, haggling, and lots of lahs. 

We proceeded to the apartment, which is conveniently located next to the office.  The landlord owns two properties, and I couldn't decide which one to take.  I liked the IKEA bed in unit 1047, but the lighting and furniture were more appealing to me in unit 1148.  So I suggested swapping the mattress.  Bad idea.  Bad idea because we realized after dragging the mattress to the other floor that not all full size mattresses as the same length.  WTF?  So now I'm stuck with the Chinese super stiff mattress.  So stiff that I would rather sleep at the campground without a mattress pad. 

But hey!  I now have a new home!
